I think #Bitcoin Core has lost the plot with it's handling of OP_RETURN.
And I think you'd have to be bonkers to run Bitcoin Knots.
My 2 sats.

I'm in the same frame of mind. Just wont update
core still can't detect inscriptions and include them in the data size limit.
This is pretty much where Iām at as well lol
I'm probably an idiot, but this is my energy towards it.

bitcoin is money, money is energy.
bitcoin can cut the energy streams flowing to them.
that's why protecting bitcoin against attacks is important.
that's why knots is important.
you can't win by battles, or letting people know. you have to cut the energy streams of fiat.
but how do we keep āourā node version up to date with fixes that are important to us (and good)? i am wondering.
for example: core v31 comes out one day.
it has some things I need or want.
but all of the v30 is inside of it, too.
sounds cumbersome to me to updatr the node, and at the same time always check whatās inside the update? (i know, donāt trust, verify but man I got kids to feed too lol)
What do you think are the downsides /dangers of running Knots?
coretards might wanna ddos, but there is a setting on knots that helps with that.
i think the question should be "what are the dangers of running core".
Yep š¤£
Agree
Yep it's a royal shit show.

i tried knots but i am now back to core.
there are jepg's in the timechain as we speak!
This entire saga gets stranger by the day. Adam Back on Twitter just now:
"Bitcoin is owned by humanity, the protocol developers are stewards, and need consensus from users to change it materially. bitcoin is about money, spam has no place in the timechain. what defaults the bitcoin core project puts in the reference client matter in this"

Couldn't make up my mind, so switched to mining XRP instead how bad could it be?

Youād have to be bonkers not to run Knots at this point.

btw anyone here seeing this:
core still can't detect inscriptions and include them in the data size limit.
they refused to PR 3 years ago. that's why utxo size exploded. knots has been able to detect inscriptions and include them in the data size limit for the past 3 years.
Run Bitcoin Knots
Aaaaaaand Luke is going to hard fork.
I'm sticking with #Bitcoin, the longest chain, aka $BTC.
Good luck with $BCH2 or whatever it ends up being called. š¤£
