I haven’t been able to nuke my X account yet but I’m making a commitment to not use the ‘For You’ feed anymore. It puts me in such a negative headspace sometimes and I just don’t like the idea of how I’m being manipulated.
That’s one of the main things I love about Nostr. And it’s already changing my habits elsewhere. 🙌🏼
I’m sorry Nostr fam - I have failed this year.
I haven’t been as active as I want to on here and if anything, probably became even more reliant on X to keep up with everything happening around the world.
And yet I still find myself extremely disappointed in the censorship on centralized social media. There is a place for it as there are obvious benefits if you are growing an audience or building a brand, but it makes me wonder what it will take for Nostr to become mainstream. On the optimistic side, adoption happens through innovation and education about the benefits. Ok the pessimistic side, further censorship or something catastrophic has people searching for decentralized alternatives.
Going to do my best to renew my commitment to growing this platform by using it myself, especially with 2026 approaching.
