We also use SELinux every single day and that was developed by the NSA.

We also use SHA-256 every single day and as Bitcoiners we essentially worship it, yet it was again developed by the NSA.

I think this is all fine.

I believe we should inform #nostr and Signal-users about Signal’s funding from intelligence / three-letter-agencies, like the NSA and CIA.

Signal is in a bit of a trust me bro situation, as with most end to end encrypted messaging applications where you don't own the signing keys.

White Noise fixes this, but has a long road ahead of itself to where it's usable in the real world and by the masses. They're working hard and I'm confident they'll get it right.

I assume your outage issues this morning is because Signal uses AWS, like 1/3 of the Internet, and it seems like many popular services and applications are struggling today.
