I respectfully have seen no evidence about the LN speed you talk about. Could you share some docs or how this number was calculated? It looks wrong.

Lightning Network transfers fail frequently, TPS in the case of Visa and Solana measures an end to end transaction not a path traversed in a transaction which fails.
Real transaction speed for the LN is as far as I know not documented and the reliability is lower than Visa. Which anyone who uses it regularly will tell you.
I guess its only an estimation. It becomes more and more reliable with every update. Theoretically there is no limit. Right now it works way better than back in the days. Do you run a LN Node?
I am studying how the LN works in practice. I do plan to run a node to measure real life speed.
LN will get the job done to a high degree (see LN factories), and maybe something with ARK thrown in the mix, or something else will. The main thing to never forget, is that, these layer2s are being built upon the rock that is Bitcoin, its decentralised pow network is the clear winner in terms of decentralization and resilience/security and network effects, by a clear in undisputed margin. All of there other higher TPS numbers are centralised, including solana et al. they can never climb out of that hole, they’re not sound money, they will never be - bitcoin is, done enough said, and then we build and innovate everything on top of it. That’s my take, but I’m still learning.
