I could access #nostr #safebox all throughout Rajasthan, India, but the WiFI at the local dentist's office?
No.
My Amethyst client works fine. The key finding for me? I need to build an Android app that doesn't touch https: at all.

It's fun to continually field test, identifying the visible and invisible gatekeepers

Running tailscale vpn on my phone continuously fixed this in my case. Had an employer running fortiguard, but vpn easily circumvents it
Cool. I have tailscale to access my servers. I will try with an exit node. The trick will be to minimize what a user needs to do. Too many uncontrollable gatekeepers using a browser is now motivating me to investigate a native app.
