I spotted this blackbird nest just in time to prevent an accidental omelette. I guess I won't have the ladder available for the next 3 weeks 😅

Almost certainly not an original thought but looking at this well constructed nest I wonder if human basket weaving was inspired by bird nests
Status update from the ladder nest: 🐣🐣🥚🥚
2 out of the 4 eggs have hatched so far and the chicks seem to have survived the 37C heatwave of the last few days
