This most influential man and book of global society warrants further investigation, and I’ve decided to start reading Matthew, the first book of the New Testament.
Discussion
Matthew 1: The listed genealogy of Jesus connects Jewish (Old Testament) history & prophesy with the New Testament Messiah. Interestingly though, being conceived of the Holy Spirit as Joseph "knew her not" indicates the Abrahamic/Davidic descendance may not be naturally genetic.
It's also notable that patriarchal rules are broken by naming five women in this genealogy, arguably of questionable reputation and/or heroic action.
Joseph, through his obedience, proves that he fears God more than he fears Man.

Fearing & Obeying God are my key takeaways from the Wisdom book of Ecclesiastes.
Matthew 2: The many dreams and fulfilled prophesies highlight faithful, creative divine communication. And the king/leaders sought to find & control the threat thus warranting a disappearance, similar to how the legacy financial system power brokers desire to identify Satoshi.

Matthew 3: Be humble and obedient.
When we repent of our sins and failures (pride, fiat, etc.) and turn towards God's love and grace, the Holy Spirit provides peace... a bit of Heaven on Earth. We have God's approval, stop seeking man's.
Matthew 4: Temptation to be prideful, doubt, sell-out due to fear/control, and idolize things other than God (e.g. BTC) is inevitable and the Word of God is the food required to fuel the fight. God calls His followers beloved and when called, it's in the best interest to follow.
Matthew 5: Jesus came to fulfill Jewish law, not abolish it, and He takes it to another level by emphasizing the heart of the matters (e.g. anger, lust, etc.). Blessed are the reviled/persecuted for His sake. Rejoice, for great is your reward. "Blessed are the meek".
Stay humble.
Matthew 6: Do not worry. "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and He will give you everything you need." We cannot serve two masters. Serving God is freeing, while serving people/money/control is slavery. Store treasures in Heaven.
Stay humble, focused, and present-minded.
Matthew 7: Be curious, not judgmental. Pray, for God is Good, and wants to give good gifts. Listen and obey, sacrifice is the way. Be patient in seeking first to understand.
Blessed are the humble, meek, and self-sacrificing, not the self-seeking.
Low time preference.
Matthew 8: Jesus is merciful and routinely heals humble, powerless, faithful, worshippers. He heals physically and spiritually. His miracles engender awe and fear, as humans often prefer comfort over goodness. When He calls us, we are to follow at once, as Matthew did.
Matthew 9: Jesus exemplifies compassion and mercy by preaching, teaching, and healing. He prays for more workers to tend to the harvest, to shepherd the lost and helpless sheep. We desire solutions and rules to follow, though Jesus values humility, mercy, and faith much more.

Matthew 14 (9/14): Peter walks on water!
His faith in Jesus drowned out fear.
There's no fear in love & Jesus is perfect love.
When Peter took his eyes off Jesus(love), he feared the waves & lost faith, thus sinking, crying "Save me!"
Jesus caught him, asking "Why did you doubt?"
Matthew 15 (Day 15):
A pure Heart is more important than religion or tradition (rules).
What comes from our mouth (words) can defile while uncleanliness (rules) cannot, because our words reflect our Heart.
No longer “us and them” as Jesus can heal all (“WE”) through Faith in Him.
Matthew 16 (Day 16): Our #1 Q
15 “But what about you?” Jesus asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

After finishing the gospel of Matthew yesterday, today we start investigating the 2nd Gospel, Mark.
In 89 days total, we will review all 4 Gospels, 1 chapter each day.
Mark 1 (Day 29):
14-15 Jesus proclaimed, “The time has come. The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
45 Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.
Jesus himself is the good news, and many recognized it and came to him.
Mark 2 (Day 30)
3-5 they made an opening in the roof and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
11 “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” He got up, took his mat and walked out.
Do let me know how you conciliate Mark’s claiming the women, seeing the empty tomb, ran away and said no word to anyone with Matthew’s having them not only run to share the news with the apostles, but encounter the Messiah himself, upon him be peace, on their way.
Good question. I don’t have the answer. Perhaps the initial reaction of the women was that they were too afraid to talk (as recorded in verse 8), and also then later were involved in other historical activities.

I think anyone who begins with presuppositions—for instance, “this book is true and accurate”—will find ways to justify absurdities and contradictions in order to “prove it.” It’s interesting to compare the different contrivances each person comes up in order to do so, however. Anyway, your working theory won’t hold: both authors are describing the same events/timeframe; the women ran and said nothing to anyone out of fear at the same time they ran to share the good news and met the Messiah himself, upon him be peace, on the way. As to my own explanation? Simple, the text was changed, accidentally and deliberately, over time, which makes it quite a rollercoaster source for guidance regarding one’s eternal destination.

I very much agree. A “disprove it” approach works wonders, however; if something is true, and one is both dedicated and honest, then truth prevails. Again, the subject is eternal salvation or damnation and I am much more inclined to believe the Creator would not leave such a serious matter—it does not get more serious than eternal consequences, does it?—to guessing and trusting, without any possibility of certainty or even reason; yes, I am inclined to believe that He would ensure the truth could be assailed to no end and stand. The Bible cannot.

14-15 “Here is your king,” Pilate said to the Jews. But they shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!” “Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked. “We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered.
John 20 (Day 88/89)
20-22 He showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”
John 21 (Day 89/89): 🌎📕
24-25 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. … Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
