Alright my Nostr friends I need your feedback on a wine app I created. I’ve never liked Cellar Tracker and I wanted more of a recommendation function so I built

Ben, what are your thoughts on including a feature in the app that allows users to connect directly with wine producers who offer DTC? So think wine-searcher but for DTC

Definitely. Probably can't do direct sales because of alcohol regs, but linking out seems good

I created an account and can add some notes and bottles. I’m liking the question box with suggestions and AI component so far. Looks clean! Would be cool to tie it in with Nostr but understand that it’s not for everyone.

Just a thought, maybe so people can share outside of the site? Not sure how that works or how easy/hard that is to accomplish. I would suggest reaching out to Wine-Searcher.com and see if they are interested in supporting your project.

Looks nice and simple. Did search for very poorly spelled Beaujolais and picked up well so works there. But then felt like the search results could do with being able to click on and find out about the actual wine rather than just seeing a list. Not sure if easy to do.

Also end up in a chat. If you make the logo on top left a link to go back to home, might be a little more intuitive to those wanting to go to base.

But very slick and simple. Not overdone. Nice!

How does the ai bit work? Is this an api to an existing model? Did you train something up?

It’s pretty great. I’m getting good feedback from friends and family. Integrate it with npubs it could nostrize a lot of people.

I was actually thinking of trying to vibe code a solution for wine tracking because the market has been pretty crap and you completely hit all the right notes and more so thank you for making this happen.
