I joined Nostr initially because I trusted that Bitcoiners are often ahead of the curve, so I wanted learn what it was
I stayed when I realised as a content creator you could never be de-platformed, and hence it’s a superior capital allocation
I joined for the maxi's and the techies. because they told me to believe in a future where you can build and interact without intermediaries. I stayed for the memes, frens and other things.
I joined nostr because I got trust issues with 'traditional' social media after realizing some of my posts didn't show up for other users.
