In Chicago, 98% of crime is committed by US citizens, not by illegal immigrants. And 90% of the crime occurs in bad neighborhoods on Chicagoâs west and south sides. But they wonât send federal forces to those neighborhoods because the feds donât know how to deal with gang violence any better than Chicago PD does.
The Trump administration, specifically Pete Hegseth, has already stated they will concentrate their efforts on downtown. Which shows this is only about the political spectacle and not about solving any real problems.
If they really want to arrest illegal immigrants, they should roll up on all of the landscapers in north shore suburbs, like Winnetka, Glencoe, and Lake Forest. But they definitely wonât do that, because those are wealthy Republican areas.
And they canât arrest the immigrants that mow rich republicanâs lawns, babysit rich republicanâs kids, and rehab rich republicanâs houses.
