Entering into the Nostr arena can be overwhelming to someone who doesn’t speak all the fluent Nostr “languages”.
Bitcoin and cypherpunk ideas run deep here. Privacy, censorship resistance, and freedom tech matter to a lot of people in this space. You don’t need to be a maximalist or developer, but understanding why people value these principles helps make sense of the culture.
Shitposting is valid. Serious discussion is valid. Code talk, memes, philosophy, whatever. There’s no algorithm trying to make you angry for engagement.
Don’t stress about saying the wrong thing. This place works better when people are authentic rather than performing.
