People often seem to like strangeness in fiction. But at the same time they'll look down on strangeness in real life.
Mate, I don't really care what she looks like but she has problems. Have you listened to her?
Yeah, she's probably less emotionally stable than average .. not ideal .. but maybe she'll continue to experiment .. and maybe she'll find ways that work better .. or maybe she won't .. that's just life.
We shouldn't force people to live the average life that causes least emotional instability, I think.
