βš‘οΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ NEW - The Bank of England wants to set a limit on the number of stablecoins a person can hold because of what it calls "systemic risk".

BoE officials said they were planning proposals to impose ownership limits of Β£10,000 to Β£20,000 for individuals and Β£10 million for businesses.

The plan has drawn criticism from crypto industry leaders, who believe the plan is difficult to implement and would hamper the potential benefits of stablecoins.
