The US gov should stop squatting on 40%+ of our land.
They should release it - don't sell it. Just give it away. Its stolen anyways. But if they are going to sell, the best price possible will be before they buy #bitcoin .

I don't think the US gov will be able to buy 1 million #bitcoin , even if they pass the bill and try.
They'll have to choose - steal it from the ETFs ;
Or sell their stolen land for btc.
It's a lot of nice land. I just did some hiking in the Jefferson National Forest. It's huge! And that's just a few hours from eastern seaboard.
There are some that I don't want to mess with. National forests, swamps, or other ecologically diverse places.
But there's a lot of hilly land in the west that's not ecologically interesting at all. They argue that people don't want it, which is why they keep it. I want it...
While I agree that much was stolen, a bunch was also purchased with what used to be hard money. They do have a rather poor track record of land management so I'd also like to see it released, but I'd think there would need to be a lottery or some mechanism in place to prevent the ultra wealthy from buying it all. For example, bringing back the old homestead act. This would actually go a ways towards easing some of the housing issues in this country... But Bitcoin will fix those issues in time anyway IMO.
The homestead act was genius.
If I had my way, we'd ban monoculture farming, ban loans to farmers, and ban pesticides. Then if the huge corporate farms can't make real farming work, they sell to the highest bidder, but the government would set the floor to the bidding by being a bidder, and any land acquired that way becomes free to whoever moves onto it and farms.
This plan only makes sense (the gov floor bid) while we're using USD. There's an inflection point where that kind of thing gets too costly, because the value of land gets drained into btc.
Fastest way to a future without monocultures is to end the ethanol policies.
I think Bitcoin will also fix agriculture and end industrialized farming. Those land holders will sell for coin to feed their families. Anybody with knowledge and understanding of how to grow real actual food will hold the power.
