That's good news. Obviously US government can't afford to buy bitcoin. However he said they would hold confiscated Bitcoin...be sure to hold in cold storage!

🚨 Truly remarkable: „15 to 20 Billion“ worth of Bitcoin is only 135-165k BTC, much less than the 200k in circulation so far. AND the US is not planning to buy Bitcoin, budget neutral or not.

Two dissapointments within 20 seconds…no wonder Bitcoin is tanking.

While I am heartened by this news (more coins for the plebs), it also strikes me as a rational ploy coming from a government that sees the price rising before the have reached their desired allocation and realize they have ways of (at least temporarily) slowing the rise.
