it took me a while to figure out the reason the browsers on my OpenBSD install werent resolving certain URLs is because I had blocked my system from resolving google.com urls at the system level. Some sites wont let you resolve unless you let google track you.
I blocked Google on a DNS level at home. Took me a little while to figure this out as well.
Fuck em. If they don't want my traffic, I'll go somewhere else.
They don't deserve your or mine business and attention. It's only a matter of time until this will have economic consequences if the richest part of society stops spending time and money for shit.
If you block Amazon, Google and/or Facebook, then half the internet stops working. I yearn for the internet of yesteryear.
