Bigtech is pushing Passkeys so hard on normies who have no idea what they are. I just can't wait to see the headlines when millions of those normies lose access to their online accounts because they just switched devices without backing up their Passkeys.
Passkeys only make sense if you're backing them up in something like a password manager. But if you're using a password manager you probably don't need passkeys.
Passkeys are usefull if you want to prevent fishing
Normies automaticaly save their passkeys in their Google account so they never loose them
