I joined Nostr because I got interviewed at The Bitcoin 2024 conference, and someone asked if I had one, some point later on is when I started exploring the protocol in depth.
I had checked out Damus intially because of someone I followed on X mentioned it but didn't get serious about it until after BTC Con 2024.
