Sounds like your friend is trying to time an exit. May or may not pull off successfully either way they are left with worthless paper.
Don't put your money where your curiosity is. Instead, put your brain in to learn it. If you're curious, it means you don't understand, and your money will be transferred to who knows what they are doing.

What a wonderful learning adventure he has embarked on.
Damn this is crazy. I feel like this happened to everyone in 2017, because it all felt like something in the right direction… with time we learned it is Bitcoin only for global reserve currencies and generational wealth, but it sucks to see this happening in 2024 especially to someone you call a friend 🙏 I guess just try to help him and get him back on the orange path to freedom.
Went back and read our old chat history. We definitely talked about bitcoin back then.
