Excited to launch Aegis v0.1.0 beta version, a new Nostr signer client!

Aegis is a simple, cross-platform Nostr signer that supports multiple connection methods.

- Currently available on iOS via TestFlight.

- Just keep Aegis app open — it will stays alive in the background and keeps your connection stable.

- Supports iOS URL Scheme login for inter-app auth flows.

The app is still in beta, so you might run into some bugs — feel free to reach out if anything breaks!

But what’s the point on iOS with the local relay? You can’t run a local relay on iOS anyway.

It can, Aegis is currently running a local service, but currently it’s a simplified version and not a full relay implementation.

Ok, but then I have to tell you that it doesn’t work. I wasn’t able to connect with the bunker string on any site which supports NIP-47. Tried it in vain on npub.cash and habla.news. I also kept the app open so that it could run in the background. On both sites I was just caught in a loading loop.

Oh, currently, only the local service approach has been implemented — that is, linking with the Nostr iOS app. Testing shows it works well with 0xChat.
