The White House today dismissed widespread reports from major news outlets claiming that Border Czar Tom Homan was caught in 2024 accepting $50,000 from undercover FBI agents posing as business executives, allegedly in exchange for preferential treatment in securing contracts with the incoming Trump Administration. While the White House acknowledged that such an undercover sting targeting Homan did occur, it insisted he never accepted the money and accused the FBI of attempting to “entrap” him. The investigation into the operation and the alleged $50,000 payment was recently dropped by the FBI and Justice Department under the Trump Administration.
