You’re simply an exception to a general rule that is far bigger. More USDT is spent in a day (as in paying for actual stuff, not investing) than Bitcoin in a year. The use of Bitcoin as a medium of exchange is actually decreasing in many countries.

USDT is not the dollar. But wider point is Bitcoin is decreasing. As in to catch up it has to first stop decreasing and then one day start increasing.

Salvadorans using Bitcoin for transactions down from 25.7% in 2021 to just 8% in 2024 and still declining (Instituto Universitario de Opinión Pública). That was the one place it gained actual real-life traction (versus token tourist-town traction, like in parts of Costa Rica, etc). Also use in China has cratered since the ban, obviously. Bitcoin as MoE is not increasing notably anywhere in the world to make up for all the countries in which it's decreasing. Certainly not in the developed world. And in relative terms (versus stablecoins) it's being absolutely crushed.
If you want online then look no further than Lightning network volume vs. Tron volume, those numbers are easily searchable.
