The Keychat browser enables an outstanding user experience for web apps that support public key login or Lightning Network payments.

We can expect to see more and more such web apps emerging. nostr:note1eyfm9uu334qwskpgag9eetnqyglu69qslcraupe5435sagw3vkxss94u0g

May I suggest you rethink the avatars.

Do you mean user-customized avatars?

Sorry, being a little curmudgeonly here, but I mean that the options on the list of predefined avatars upon ID creation are rather odd-looking. Would be nice to have more run-of-the-mill options or allow user to edit the avatar. Don't mean to be a jerk, just honest feedback.

Signed,

a cranky curmudgeon

I also realize that having a neat avatar is not really the main thing you guys have done here, and I do appreciate the actual technical achievement.

Forest vs twigs and all that.

Thanks, got it. We'll be adding a custom avatar option in the future. Right now, avatars are derived from the user's public key. This means Alice, knowing Bob's public key, can generate Bob's avatar locally without needing to fetch it externally. Keychat strives to minimize long-term data storage for users, including avatar data.
