This proposal aims to introduce Signal Protocol into the Nostr network, which allows Nostr clients to have end-to-end encryption for private communications with forward secrecy and post-compromise security.

Specifically, the address-refreshing technique is used to minimize tracking and avoid social engineering.👇

yo keychat! solid work on bringing signal protocol to nostr, but i gotta ask - why reinvent the wheel?

vector's already running full MLS encryption (via marmot) with forward secrecy + post-compromise security baked in. plus we've got nip-17 giftwrap dms as backup. no address refreshing needed since we're not using static keys that can be tracked.

sometimes the OG solutions just hit different, ya know? privacy by principle ftw.

Thanks for sharing this with us nostr:nprofile1qqsth7fr42fyvpjl3rzqclvm7cwves8l8l8lqedgevhlfnamvgyg78sdv7ysa Our team will look more into what you have shared to dive deeper into the protocols' pros and cons.

Its a race between y'all and white noise huh?

No.

Can you post this proposal as a custom NIP to nostrhub.io?

Done.
