Introducing vlogstr.com

Whoa, vlogs seem to be the new trend. I figured let's try to give them a home they deserve that use proper nostr NIPs for storing them. I threw a few prompts over to #mkstack and it's given the world vlogstr.

This is based on my initial upload so expect bugs but you should be able to do most basic needed actions. You can view video feeds by your follows or from global. You can upload videos to nostr via Blossom servers. You can even see some basic analytics about your video content. It should hopefully be a start to get you going, your job is to tell me what else you need.

Cool. Are your using NIP-71? kind:22? It would be compatible with all other apps then like Zap.stream Shorts, Zappix Flix, Freeform, etc.

Very cool, posted a trick to test it :) the menu icon is kind of hidden (I’m in dark mode but idk if the website is dark by default or if my system is hiding the menu). And maybe I was scrolling too fast but it took me a second to figure out I needed to click upload after selecting my video. Otherwise great start :)

This is awesome, thank you for giving it a shot! The site is dark by default and great feedback about the button. I was nervous using a button like that to see if people would have a hard time finding it but thought it added a cool look to it. I'll see about adding some light to the button to make it stick out more.

The original version didn't even have the upload button but I added while debugging why my file upload wasn't working. I'll probably pull it out in the future and have the whole interaction when you actually publish. This was more of a stop gap that I didn't take the time to clear out.

Makes sense :) another thing I just noticed while scrolling through the discover feed is when the caption is too long it gets appended with ‘…’ but there’s no way to view the rest of it.

You are my favorite tester! 😄 Keep these coming! I have the issue where I'm easy to please and overlook a lot of things. Once the frame is built it becomes hard for me to refine things because personally I'm used to testing lots of broken apps and just make things work and never even think through improving them well. This feedback is invaluable to me!
