I regularly see people equate inflation with price increases. If prices going up were the problem, the solution would be price caps.
Instead, Bitcoin caps the supply of money and regulates the expansion of the monetary supply. This does not guarantee that prices stabilize because money already in existence can be redirected or change hands faster.

Inflation can go down or even negative, as prices go up, if the velocity of money increases.

I am responding by moving the overton window back to the most basic definition and saying "Why add more? To what purpose? To advance what goal?"

The economy responds most strongly to the relative change.
Staying humble and meek provides mental clarity because your ego doesn't cloud your judgement.
This is really powerful, rhetorically, because it means you assume there is a reason, that the reason is based upon some goal or incentive, and that you just have to figure out what that is and offer a more-appealing alternative or a better argument, or be humble enough to consider yourself beaten.
The last outcome is not the "win", but it at least gives you a sense of closure and keeps the world from seeming diaordered.
