To him, that's all girl stuff and he has to ruminate on whether the universe is expanding or whatever.

It's easy to impress me by using tools and fixing appliances, or knowing the names of the flora and fauna, or quoting German philosophers. Or applying calculus or signal theory to a real-life problem.

Or having fast reflexes.

Or figuring out how to get home on a hike, when the cell phone has no connection. 🙈 I'm fantastic at reading maps because they're charts and I Love charts, but I have no inner compass.
