Most people don’t know, but we bought a quarter page add in our local newspaper on the 25th of September without mentioning our name. The bitcoin price was $63k. We’ve been trying to help people to adopt bitcoin locally for >5 years now. 👇 you can find proof of the ad back on the local newspaper webpage.
It’s Sunday 21.50 and still working. Prefer to have someone help us to be honest.
Coming soon… we should gift more hashies and sovereignty to our friends and family… do you like our custom package paper design? High quality wrapping paper should be ready before the end of this month. 🔥

Now Twitter giveaways have become impossible to do transparently it’s time for Nostr to step in and bring the crowd that wants something for free or to gamble on something with >$0.01:21SATS zap to this protocol.
Normally when you would do a give away on socials, people have to repost like and comment. With Nostr a raffle element could become an amazing opportunity.
You zap the post and an open source raffle random pull shows the winner.
NostRaffle (just a random name that we thought would work) should be a webpage where the shops can fill in their product, the zap amount, the time until the moment the raffle closes.
Is something in this direction for either giveaways or raffles on Nostr already built?
Would love to support this, because it would help us a lot. The important part is transparency in these things. Many giveaways and raffles just go to people that the shipowners know or they even create fake outcomes, running their own bot to boost the post and then giveaway to their own bot.
Anyone has improvement ideas on this or where we can find something in this fashion? 👇
People don’t understand that the $5,- donation per bitaxe and the open source development around mining will snowball the following:
- few bitaxes, how fun
- 1 block a month solo mined, people start to understand the lottery principle
- 1 block a week (couple million solo miners)
Meanwhile, radical bitcoiners buy a freaking new machine from ASML and start to dump cheap ASIC chips on the market. Everyone starts to build on the developed open source stacks and you can get mass produced “miners” super cheap for every dimension and purpose. We will heat/use excess electricity and join the lottery while decentralizing the network. Meanwhile companies with excess/cheap electricity/need for heat will run their own “pool” instance ensuring freedom of transaction is preserved. Open source mining should develop faster than its closed source competitors, but it starts at the ASIC level. And that start is expensive. nostr:note125nmcu5869h5vrjjk6s3y0hdtcj0afr64n837q3klxdyud3re3fssatngm
Taking a moment to celebrate OCEAN's 100th block milestone. OCEAN has seen a spectacular boost in hash these past few months.
And we're just getting started.
To our miners – Thank You.
To those waiting on the beach: come on in. The water's warm, and the blocks are flowing.
As of block 100:
432.95877508 BTC mined (including 20.45877508 BTC in transaction fees). https://video.nostr.build/3d3f1457effcdf9309422ea0b8a6ca5910aa6a61d1139e3b88dff3b38dccd179.mp4
You should enable zaps ⚡️
Does anyone have any idea on latency impact with mining pools? Curious about measurements and impact difference now we’re starting to see DATUM / nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze vs the traditional pools and all these solo pools coming online vs fully self run solo pools.
It’s amazing to see how much pool infrastructure is coming online.
We have started up our own datum server that is free to use for anyone. If you want low latency and a proper datum ( nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze ) instance running in the Netherlands you can connect to

Why would you mine with a block template with datacarriersize 42? Because if we hit a block with our setup the spam that’s polluting the network creating high fees will not be included. The discussion this opens is important for us, as censorship on the pool level is possible. What would your preference be with regards to datacarriersize?
If you want to mine solo you can use the Noderunners pool as explained below, they have no limit on the datacarriersize 👇 nostr:note13rgsmnqzerhglsdex39cge73m97eygvah364pxax5vjm8qje4weqvcdt6e
Yes our webshop used to be and still is to support plebs with what they need, next to our mining focus.
Agree we might need to change the homepage by now.
We deliver directly from stock and keeping stock levels Sufficient is a challenge. We tend to overestimate demand and lose more bitcoin on the way.
Find our updated stock levels every day. The product range has become so large it’s sometimes hard to keep up 🔥
Thanks everyone for the support and requests for products. More products in shop soon.

CONSOLIDATE YOUR UTXOs! UTXO management is very important. When fee environment allows, people order on-chain with us. When the bitcoin price rips you might want to spend some sats in our shop. But the fees might be astronomically high. In general it is wise to use lightning for spending. Lighting liquidity and opening channels is cheap now. You can also make it easy for yourself and use custodial or semi-custodial applications. Take advantage of this low fee environment. If you order with us via lightning there is no history to your UTXOs, you have more privacy and you don’t have us consolidate and burden the chain too much. Unless you are a miner or a philanthropist bitcoiner off course 😂 But seriously, be careful with spending bitcoin from your main stack or cold storage. We delete all your data and spend the bitcoin in the circular bitcoin economy, so it does not go through KYC rails via us ever. If you really want to spend on-chain make sure to always have a spending wallet. Even though we delete all your data, we can’t ensure while spending the consolidated UTXOs, someone is not following every spending trail. And congrats to all miners 1 sat/vb finally in sight.
If you listen to Dutch podcasts you might find one 😉 the super small discount is the same super small amount that goes to the podcast. But our prices are so low in comparison with other suppliers we can’t do much…
Yes we sell the gamma, we have a lot of them in stock for Xmas and sinterklaas.
Why are our #bitaxe gamma sales slowing down? What are we doing wrong? What should we improve?
We were the first to officially register the GTIN for the #BITAXE supra. We've now also officially listed the GTIN for the Gamma. Everyone is able to use the barcode and QR code that is shared via the
GitHub. Next to that you can find the products and codes on the official GTIN website.
Are there more people working on cool packaging for the bitaxes?
