You might have heard us mention AI, let us clarify:
We built a powerful spam detection system into Pixelfed, and recently added NLP and a Naive Bayes classifier that is trained when you mark posts as spam or not spam
The more posts you train it on, the more accurate it gets!
This system is self-contained to your server, we do not use any 3rd party APIs
You can export the training data and share it openly (though you probably shouldn't as it would make it easier for spammers to bypass) ✨
Did you know our API is mostly compatible with the MastoAPI?

Stories, Loops and Groups are features we're really excited for, but we want you to know they are supplementary to the main photo sharing experience.
Don't like Stories? Hide them!
Don't want to see Looping videos, or video posts, period? Hide them!
We will not shove Stories and Loops down your throat. We have no incentive to.
You will have the power to set your own experience.

We were hoping to publish our last TestFlight build before the public release of our app next week.
Unfortunately we cannot publish new TestFlight builds due to an App Store issue.
We are waiting to hear back from Apple, last time this happened it took a week to resolve. This will push back our release by another week 😔
It seems like Apple expired our builds again, we're looking into it and are working on a new build!

If you cannot update Pixelfed, or it says "build removed", you need to Leave the TestFlight and join the new one!

We're adding support for the `/api/v1/instance/domain_blocks` endpoint!
We'll also be shipping with a default blocklist that can be easily managed on the admin dashboard.
You can add/remove any domains you like, we're still deciding on the source for the blocklist (Tier0 or our own custom)
