I remember complaining about spam on nostr and the developer of Amethyst told me to not use free relays and pay up for some relays. It's a pill to swallow to ask people to pay for a worse service (I know spam exists on Twitter but it's much less). It's another pill when you realize posters and content creators contribute to the quality of the relay.
There's also an issue where if I use my nsec on a new machine, 90% to 100% of posts don't show up and my profile picture doesn't appear. I thought this is an obvious bug that should be fixed if I wait long enough, but it still exists after around 6 months of use
Not sure to be frank. I have a wallet but the last zap came with a note that said this zap took longer than usual. I don't know what's up with that, just Nostr being Nostr I guess
