Update! I think it's related to the Alby extension I'm using. Using the nos2x seems to work fetching my profile!

A NIP will follow I suppose, I agree a robust NIP is required 😉 It's still very alpha, but the start seems to be promising imo. After a NIP is created, we could compare it to NIP-96.

Ok so if a toot (post) linked to your content hosted on your website goes viral in the Fediverse, the chance exists your website is overloadded as it's being 'DDOS'ed' by the many instances while they're fetching metadata at the same time.
This isn't really a Mastodon or Fediverse problem right? The same issue can occur with Nostr when your note goes viral and many clients are requesting the metadata from your site (for generating previews for example).

I am still deeply committed to ONOSENDAI and completing my OpenSats grant, which Simon has been fully supportive of, so my schedule will allow for this.
I'm not sure about the future of Yondar since my company ran out of funding to develop it, but it's open source so I have faith that it will live on somehow.
I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work in the nostr space. I am grateful for my 16 years at the marketing agency where I started my career, but this next step is much needed and a perfect fit.
So, thank you wonderful nostr people for supporting me and showing your care. It has meant the world to me. I am SO ready to put 100% of my time and focus on nostr and bitcoin development. I feel like my work at FanFares is going to have a measurable and immediate impact on nostr and bitcoin adoption and I can't wait to get started! 👾💜

I can imagine this also can happen to Nostr devs in the future…when the impact of Nostr grows then more powerplay will occur from different sources / forces.
