What he told me should scare everyone!

We were talking about the drain of skills that we are experiencing. He said we are about 5 years away from all of the old school machinists being gone.

Due to retirement, etc.

5 years!

Those skills are not being replaced!

This is a slow motion train wreck happening in aviation MRO.

You need those skills for the overhaul of engines that are 40+ years old.

How did you get the nickname? I got Mouse because I can draw one in less than three seconds so I drew them everywhere. Also I was as quiet and timid as a Mouse.

I think a bookworm child is a good problem to have as a parent.

As a child I read alot of books. The library was my favourite place to go and I was reading young adult fiction and the occasional novel by the age of 9, I'd leave with twenty of them every week.
