Oh, someone with the same sense of humour as me!
Bitcoin+Nostr is magic because of cryptography.

Adding to the relay discussion...
One of my favourite books on governance is "Exit, Voice and Loyalty". In a nutshell, if you have "voice" within a social structure, you might accord some "loyalty" to a higher authority; if not, you can simply "exit".
The same logic applies to relays. If a relay does not want to accept my "voice" (my events and kinds) I am free to go elsewhere. That's exactly what I am doing as I am testing a "safebox" component that securely stores data on a relay. I am looking around for relays I can test on (including my own)
So if a relay wants to say GFY - that's perfectly fine. That's the beauty of the #nostr open protocol and open architecture.
I do all my dev testing on my own relay, and then periodically test other random relays to see if it works.
You’re being too quick and emotional with your reactions, Derek. Ease up and you won’t be rate-limited.
Yup. My relay accepts all kinds (for me at least).
For us, we live in a region that is considered the backwaters by two provinces. One of my long term interests is to see whether we can carve out these backwaters into an autonomous region.
We live in a city that is an amalgamation of over 20 rural areas. It's amazing how much the urban tax base subsidizes the 'rural' infrastructure of roads, sewer, emergency services, etc. I grew up in the country (dairy farm) and have no romantic allusions of living in the country. Now with return to downtown office in full swing, these 'ruralites' are now asking for accommodation to avoid the commute, or for cheap parking downtown.
Bike by the lock.
I enjoy your art. Danny and I just wrapped up the final episode of What Bitcoin Did at Bitcoin Park, recording with some of our closest friends in #bitcoin - nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle , nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx and nostr:npub10cxz2h7n6rumfpuf49zt4uvm7skzqk5u25vesp0tzdtnkvsnwjyqaffcj3, along with special appearances, including my son.
The episode will be released on August 30th. After that, we'll take a week off before launching our new show (the worst-kept secret).
After 7 years, 860 podcasts, countless flights, and visiting about 40 countries, the time is right. Time is precious. I need to travel less and focus on Bedford, the football team, family and bringing to life everything we've discussed over the past 7 years.
I believe we're entering a new era where #bitcoin is a legitimate part of every conversation. Our new show will reflect this, so we’re building a studio in London and evolving the format where #bitcoin is the heartbeat not the headline.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this. I couldn’t have done any of this without the kindness and generosity of so many of you, especially nostr:npub16le69k9hwapnjfhz89wnzkvf96z8n6r34qqwgq0sglas3tgh7v4sp9ffxj .
I'm humbled by it all and everyone of you.
Big love ✌🏻

Thank you for all you’ve done!
