Several hundred members will get a crowdfunding request today for a member with colon cancer.
He went to the ER with abdomen pain. ER found kidney stones but also noticed abnormalities in the colon.
Got a colonoscopy which concluded it was stage II colon cancer.
Had surgery to remove cancer.
Prognosis is full recovery.
CrowdHealth was able to substantially negotiate the ER bills and pre negotiate the other procedures.
