One of the best comeback I've read on "You can't touch Bitcoin so it isn't real! greee!!" remark actually came from my father.

That gave me a chuckle.
There's also a physical limit to it, as it stands, in order to have a completely non-custodial future in LN, everyone needs to be able to have their own channel. The cost of opening and closing channels will prohibit this as there are just not enough sats to do so.
That's why I think it's impossible, but we should strive to be as self-custodial and trustless or trust minimized as possible in all the layers we build.

The fee rate is 50-120 sats/vbyte
and we are making a huge fuss about it.
I think this is worrisome, Bitcoin will not survive without a high enough fee rate.
It will even be higher in the future (and by then, inscriptions will be priced out), we need to realized that this is the inevitable truth and build with this truth in mind.
