GM from Europe 🤙
Goodnight #nostr 🤙
Keep welcoming the redditors, as a previous convert I know they’ll find a place here
Very trustworthy then 👌
I’m always looking and there are still things I’ve never seen, thank you
So I’m going to #asknostr, seeing as we have a new influx of users and I’ve been curious anyway, is there an introduction to building on #nostr?
It’s possible that we’re welcoming the new builders.
As for me, I have minimal coding experience but I have tried 😂 big visions need effort to back them up so I’m looking for a starting place.
I can vouch for everything up until the contributor program, I must have dipped before that. I just kept my explanation quick and dirty to get the point across
I believe you can upload from your pc files, but if not then host you pfp somewhere like google drive and paste the direct link. Apps can make it easier, use amethyst on android or Damus on ios
Which client are you using?
Welcome 🤙 #zapathon is on Thursdays and Fridays at 5pm EST, #sats and #zaps come on a Value 4 Value basis. Post whatever you like and when people enjoy your content, you get zapped
Meeting with a local Bitcoiner who’s got this sick offline POS system.
It generates LNURL invoices, I was able to pay it with my nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg with no issues.
This is so simple and incredible and since it’s offline there’s a hash code after that you can use to verify the payment was made in the companion app.
Super cool concept.

Ben Arc will be jumping right on this 😂
Say it with me, fight club (kinda) style:
My name is the Nostr marketing team
Costs really are the issue right now for many people, without even considering technical ability. I always see this being glossed over but SSDs aren’t cheap for many people, not to mention other hardware and electricity costs.
We say that bitcoin makes the biggest difference for the poorest communities, but they are, unfortunately, the exact people that will never be able to run a full node in my opinion
Reddit is a link aggregator website that had some of the best community ties I had ever seen. It had its problems I’ve the years but always pulled through.
This year the company made the awful decision to cut off API usage unless third party apps were willing to pay exorbitant fees, so the apps all shut down.
nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 posted there today to show them that nostr is likely the way forward for Reddit users, and everyone came to support. If you see any joining then welcome them
Just did my bit posting on the nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 Reddit thread with a 10+ year old account.
Everything counts and Reddit users are a perfect fit here. I know because, obviously, I was one.
Reply on the post if you see open ended comments with questions ✌️
I started really paying attention to Nostr after the API exodus. It’s safe here.
