Both are BS with different names, and both use the same failed arguments to explain why they didn't work the last 20 attempts. Then both claim "If we could just try it again, it'll certainly work!".

The reality is that both are faces to the same coin. A plot designed to extract wealth from you and give it to your master.

I want to caution the #Bitcoin and #Nostr communities against blindly following individual celebrities or falling into another group think.

You use #BTC because it works, not because Michael Saylor (who's undoubtedly brilliant) likes it or thinks it works.

You use #Nostr, because it benefits you in ways of decentralization, privacy, and anti-censorship, not because your celebrity embraced it.

Not doing this means you essentially gave up on your brain. Now your actions are only determined by what your favorite person thinks.

In theory, when stakes are non-existant, everyone can do it. This is in the thought realm.

In practice, when the stakes are high and actions have consequences, all people fold to varying degrees.

I'm generally not the overly optimistic one of the bunch, but I disagree and would like to propose a counter argument that's also positive. Given that there's not much context, I will stick to logic:

1. The decision to give up or not is most subjective, and it always depends on what it is that you want, how badly you want it, and how unacceptable the laternative (losing) is to you.

2. Conflict of interest: Sometimes, it is in my best interest if you just give up. Meaning, I win only if you give up.

3. Persistance (not giving up) is THE prerequisite to winning. Otherwise, mideocrity prevails.

All of the success stories we celebrate today were the outcome of not giving up.

Why do you care if #Nostr or #Bitcoin become mainstream?
