other people's problems don't necessarily have to be yours too.
if they're not concerned about data privacy, let them figure it out when their data is always showing up in breaches and blame the companies for not safeguarding their precious personal information that they so freely gave away.
it's actually pleasant for me. i don't post. i only follow authors and what new thing they are working on. i ignore the ads.
the only disgusting corner of x are the political junk. everything else i don't pay any attention to. i can't stop authors from talking about politics, and most avoid it.
privacy on the internet means everything you provide is partial and also disposable.
i am not looking for anything in particular. social media to me is an outlet for my thoughts.
i only posted that after seeing posts that nostr sucks from the person who created the protocol. it sounded to me like he wanted it to blow up but it did not meet his expectations.

yesterday i found an entire reply thread on primal of a reply to my post that i did not even get notified at all.
if it wants to keep labeling itself as social media then it is comparable to others like it regardless of reason for it's creation or why people join.
that would be great though not any time soon. i am still trying to get comfortable here. i thought there would already be an existing one to join.
