Yep exactly. What I did was sending an oversized first deposit, and then I sent half on the amount on another lightning wallet (or you can swap out back on-chain paying only the miner fees) in order to have a big enough and well balanced channel.

No a single device for every wallets, this is why passphrase are so convenient. On the same device you have access to as many wallet as you want, one for each of your passphrases, and you just need one seedphrase backup (in a microSD or engrave in a steel plate or paper)
