Would it be possible for clients to warn users that people they follow are not seen on the relay they are connected to, and maybe proposed a common relay (or even add it automatically) ? This could maybe almost solve this issue of followers “vanishing” ?

Yes. And even if it was 1$, you could have pretty good decentralization and incensurability and durability (keeping your datas across time) for only 10$ a month (what musk is asking for Twitter rn), with your own private relay if you really want to backup your datas and don’t trust other relays.

Yep it’s a great solution thank you, but filtering the global feed by default would be great for new nostr users who can be disappointed of the experience cause of how the global feed looks like.

Yep can confirm. I just copy paste the relay url (so it's ws://) in my clients without any success

Doesn’t work for me I wonder why. I’m connected through Tailscale so I’m on the same network but the Umbrel nostr realy doesn’t show any new event sync
