That's precisely because nobody was talking about any specific country that I've said what I’ve said. A stupid and wrong generalization was being made...
I have no problem believing that in some less democratic countries, it is legally permissible for a private entity to exercise censorship over citizens in general, or over the users of their services. However, fortunately, there are countries where such censorship is illegal, and one of them is Portugal.
In Portugal, if a private entity censors a citizen, the citizen has the right to:
A) Get the removed speech or message reinstated;
B) To be compensated for property and non-pecuniary damages resulting from the censorship;
C) Obtain a compulsory pecuniary penalty for each day of delay in fulfilling the obligation to restore the censored message or speech.
The above legal regime is the result of various legal provisions, mainly enshrined in the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic, the Civil Code and the Code of Civil Procedure. I'm not going to give a detailed analysis of all the legal precepts involved here, not least because some are procedural in nature, and neither is this a law lesson nor am I being paid to give one.
I will say, however, and in direct response to your question, this: the aforementioned regime is constitutionally established in Articles 18 and 37 of the Portuguese Constitution.

The 'feels like' temperature, also called "heat index" or "apparent temperature", has no scientific basis and is used by mainstream media as a solely way to dramatize the weather, in order to fulfill the globalist and totalitarian agenda.
The "feels like" temperature is also symptomatic of a general trend in "woke" and globalist society: to value feelings more than facts...
One of the warning signs that this is pure bullshit is the fact that the news outlets don't actually tell us how they are calculating "apparent temperature", and a simple research will show you that, given the same weather data, different media outlets report different "feel like" temperatures...
Do your own research: no one seems to tell you how "feels like" is calculated...
You are given a number out of context and with no indication on how it is measured...
The "feels like", that is now being shoved down our throats, is a scam, and there is plenty of other evidence of this:
a) There is some science behind the "feels like" temperature. The scientific name for this is "wet bulb temperature"... And it is actually a function of both temperature and humidity. And it corresponds to the ability to use evaporative cooling to cool down (as the human body does). The effectiveness of this evaporative cooling decreases as the humidity increases.
However, the assumption that is made in the context of "feels like" is that your mind bases its estimation on temperature on zero humidity. Of course, this is ridiculous! None of us have any experience with a zero humidity environment...
b) Within the framework of the "feels like" fraud, there are no realistic conditions where 27 ºC (80 ºF) will ever "feel like" 27 ºC. That makes the whole idea silly.
c) Science can't quantify a feeling. Science does not have an answer for everything and creating a formula which claims to quantify a "feeling" illustrates the dressing-up of science for a goal to which it is unsuited and for which it will never fit. A feeling is specific to each individual. Science studies reproducible phenomena; this cannot, by definition, be applied to a feeling.
d) The "information" about "feels like" is an integral part of a meteorological sensationalism that is obvious to any moderately intelligent person, and whose dissemination aims to: indoctrinate the public in the ideological and programmatic agenda of Wokist, totalitarian and leftist globalism; attract the attention of as many imbeciles as possible, in order to maximize profits, including those from advertisements.
e) These indices are nothing more than mathematical artifices, designed and presented in such a way as to augment reality, in order to catch the public eye.
The insistence on this deception is becoming hilarious, as evidenced by the recent news story, referenced below, which reported that the inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro were experiencing an apparent temperature of 62.3 ºC... This when the real maximum temperature was 42 ºC...
People who believe this kind of fraudulent news are so stupid that they can't even do this simple reasoning: well, if a person, in certain weather conditions, is feeling a temperature of 42 ºC as if it were 62.3 ºC, that means that they are experiencing exactly the same thermal sensation as if, in other weather conditions, the real temperature were actually 62.3 ºC...
I invite these idiots to expose themselves to a real temperature of 62.3 ºC. They'll understand everything in a second...
f) Science would have a very difficult time creating a general equation for the loss of heat from a human body. Humans come in different shapes, sizes and consistancies. The amount of heat you lose will depend on your weight and your size and the make up of your body. Humans are made up of fat, and muscle and bones and skin and dangly bits all in different configurations.
It would be impossible for someone to construct an accurate mathmatical model of heat loss from a human body without specifying the human body in question. Determining the flow of heat from an warm object to a cooler substance is complicated even for a pure metal cube.
g) Humans do use evaporative cooling. Under normal conditions this means that humans are more effective at cooling themselves at lower humidity. In short the principle "less humidity, more comfortable human" is true in most circumstances where humans might be too hot.
However, the precise amount that humans cool down from evaporative cooling varies from humman to human and is scientifically quite complex.
Predicting the effects of evaporative cooling based on on a wide range of humans is scientifically impossible without taking into account the body weight, height, fat content and distribution and probably metabolism of the individual human... and even then it would be a probably impossibly calculation.
h) The sensation felt by a human being is something that is unique, specific and internal to that person, and has to do with a whole complex of human devices, ranging from the sense organs to the brain, something that science cannot capture, let alone quantify or experience.
But the main point here is that sensation is an individual experience: if a person reports what the temperature feels like to them, that is the correct answer! If a "calculation" comes up with a different answer for how they feel, that "calculation" is wrong by definition!

A temperatura "feels like", também designada por "índice de calor" ou "temperatura aparente", não tem qualquer base científica, sendo utilizada pelos media "mainstream" apenas como uma forma de dramatizar o tempo, a fim de cumprir a agenda globalista e totalitária.
A temperatura "feels like" é também sintomática de uma tendência geral da sociedade "woke" e globalista: a de valorizar mais os sentimentos que os factos...
Um dos sinais de alerta de que isto não passa de um logro é o facto de os jornais, as TVs e os media em geral nunca nos dizerem como calculam a "temperatura aparente", e uma simples pesquisa mostrará que, perante os mesmos dados meteorológicos, diferentes meios de comunicação social reportam diferentes "sensações térmicas"...
Faça a sua própria pesquisa: ninguém faz o obséquio de lhe dizer como é que a "sensação térmica" ou "temperatura aparente" é calculada...
É-nos dado um número fora de contexto e sem qualquer indicação acerca da forma como o mesmo é medido...
O "feels like", que nos tem vindo a ser enfiado pela goela abaixo, é uma fraude, e há muitas outras provas disso:
a) Existe alguma ciência por detrás da dita "sensação térmica". O nome científico disso é "temperatura de "bolbo húmido"... E é, na verdade, uma função da temperatura e da humidade. Corresponde à capacidade de utilizar o arrefecimento evaporativo para arrefecer algo (como faz o corpo humano). A eficácia deste arrefecimento evaporativo diminui à medida que a humidade aumenta.
No entanto, a assunção que é feita no contexto da "sensação térmica" é a de que a estimativa de temperatura efectuada pela nossa mente é baseada numa humidade zero. Claro que isto é ridículo! Nenhum de nós tem qualquer experiência com um ambiente de humidade zero...
b) No âmbito da fraude do "feels like", não existem condições realistas em que 27 ºC (80 ºF) possam alguma vez ser sentidos como 27 ºC. Isto torna toda a ideia disparatada.
c) A ciência não consegue quantificar uma sensação. A ciência não tem resposta para tudo e criar-se uma fórmula que tenha a pretensão de quantificar uma "sensação" ilustra bem o aproveitamento abusivo da ciência, a qual é vestida para um objectivo para o qual é inadequada e com um fato que nunca lhe servirá. Uma sensação é algo que é específico de cada indivíduo. A ciência estuda fenómenos reproduzíveis, coisa que não pode, por definição, ser aplicada a uma sensação.
d) A "informação" acerca da "sensação térmica" é parte integrante de um sensacionalismo meteorológico que é óbvio para qualquer pessoa medianamente inteligente, e cuja disseminação tem como escopo: doutrinar o público na agenda ideológica e programática do globalismo wokista, totalitário e esquerdista; atrair a atenção do maior número possível de imbecis, de modo a maximizar os lucros, incluindo os provenientes da publicidade.
e) Estes índices não passam de artifícios matemáticos, concebidos e apresentados de forma a aumentar a realidade, com o desiderato de chamar a atenção do público.
A insistência neste logro está a tornar-se hilariante, como o comprova a recente notícia, abaixo referenciada, que dava conta de que os habitantes do Rio de Janeiro estariam a sentir uma temperatura aparente de 62,3 ºC... Isto quando a temperatura máxima real era de 42 ºC...
As pessoas que acreditam neste tipo de notícias fraudulentas são tão idiotas que não conseguem, sequer, fazer este raciocínio simples: bem, se a pessoa, em certas condições meteorológicas, está a sentir uma temperatura de 42 ºC como se a mesma fosse de 62,3 ºC, isso significa que a mesma está a experimentar exactamente a mesma sensação térmica que teria caso, em outras condições meteorológicas, a temperatura real fosse efectivamente de 62,3 ºC...
Convido esses idiotas a exporem-se a uma temperatura, real, de 62,3 ºC. Num segundo percebem tudo...
f) A ciência teria muita dificuldade em criar uma equação geral para a perda de calor de um corpo humano. Os seres humanos têm diferentes formas, tamanhos e consistências. A quantidade de calor que perdemos depende do nosso peso, do nosso tamanho e da constituição do nosso corpo. Os seres humanos são feitos de gordura, músculo, ossos, pele e partes mais ou menos finas, todas com diferentes configurações.
Seria impossível alguém construir um modelo matemático exacto da perda de calor de um corpo humano sem especificar o corpo humano em questão. Determinar o fluxo de calor de um objecto quente para uma substância mais fria é complicado, mesmo para um cubo de metal puro.
g) Efectivamente os seres humanos utilizam o arrefecimento evaporativo. Em condições normais, isto significa que os seres humanos são mais eficazes a arrefecerem-se a humidades mais baixas. Em suma, o princípio "menor humidade, ser humano mais confortável" é verdadeiro na maioria das circunstâncias em que o ser humano possa estar demasiado quente.
No entanto, o valor exacto em que os seres humanos arrefecem através do arrefecimento evaporativo varia de ser humano para ser humano e é cientificamente bastante complexo.
Prever os efeitos do arrefecimento evaporativo com base numa vasta gama de seres humanos é cientificamente impossível sem se ter em conta o peso corporal, a altura, o teor e a distribuição de gordura e, provavelmente, o metabolismo de cada indivíduo... e mesmo assim seria um cálculo provavelmente impossível.
h) A sensação vivenciada por um ser humano é algo que é único, específico e interno a essa pessoa, e tem a ver com todo um complexo de aparelhos humanos, desde os órgãos dos sentidos até ao cérebro, algo que a ciência não consegue captar, muito menos quantificar ou experienciar.
Mas o ponto principal aqui é que a sensação é uma experiência individual: se uma pessoa relata qual é a sensação térmica para ela, essa é a resposta correcta! Se um "cálculo" vier com uma resposta diferente para o que ela sente, esse "cálculo" está errado por definição!
