A staff member brought in this piece of bark. I'm not sure what type of wood it is but it's very interesting. I drilled a 1/4" hole down its length and used a 1/4" steel rod the fasten it to the base at an angle. I really like the results. Can anyone identify the wood?

Juniper planted into a large chunk of feather rock. I actually carved out a large section under the bottom side and drilled a narrow hole through the top to pass the roots inside.
