Spring in the bush is last year's death giving way to this year's life.
I like to prepare my canvases so that they are of the same colour as my boards.
New clouds, old clouds, angry clouds, buoyant clouds. These clouds are hasty clouds.
I am generous to the point of being careless about money.

It's pointless to finish this canvas. Time to move on to other things. 
The canvas looks nothing like the sketch. 
I've returned to the Shack. I look at the canvas. I need to incorporate a sense of decoration.

Studio Building 
Jim is working in his studio on the ground floor. But I decide not to visit him. I have work to do.
I walk up to the Studio Building. I have a letter in the morning mail. 
I was impressed by Jackson's 'Edge of the Maple Wood' at the 1912 OSA Exhibition.
