congratulations, Jonathan! https://t.co/hXm95ILRB1

frogs in the cellar. damnit.

yea. i will be doing this more often. https://t.co/I5MlBrk5Qe

I’m not sure what the point of this convo is, but I’m the one who started it so I don’t really have the right to complain 😂 (I don’t think blocks work like that on nostr. Maybe you are not following the right relays?)

i use the internet just to be a part of it all. you said you would rather feed a dog than a human. i thought you should know that i think that’s shitty. would tell you the same if we were in person.

understandable take but i’m judging you slightly for saying that.

i think there is some important perspective here. this community tends to treat freedom as an absolute good. my understanding is that any good thing, when treated as absolute, serves a demon. which demon is nostr prone to serving? nostr:note15jktknsaa8xhgaf3smlz3qjvps9vccuw8l43sk60qrj5pn0sc8zsnkrsuu

what would that look like?

a lot of books are inside epubs / pdfs. i think it is a solvable technical challenge to highlight within files like that.

having these resources be universally located seems like a more difficult challenge. unlike a journal article, there doesn’t seem to often be an “authoritative” location for any given book online.

nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft as highlighter gets better and better we are reaaally going to need to liberate books somehow…
