New Nos.Social Release - Version 0.Build 65

Build 65 is out with the following changes:
- Added automatic file uploads to nostr.build.
- Add list of followers and relays in the Profile screen.
Build 60 has been released! Here are the changes:
- Updated content report style based on the latest NIPs and fixed some bugs with reporting.
- Removed the profile information screen from onboarding and replaced it with a call to action in the sidebar.
- Fixed the launch screen layout on iPad
- Condense consecutive newlines into single new line in note content.
- Leading and trailing whitespace will no longer be rendered in note content.
Are you using nostr:npub1pu3vqm4vzqpxsnhuc684dp2qaq6z69sf65yte4p39spcucv5lzmqswtfch or have you tried it out? We're doing a little survey of our users to learn more about what you want. We'd really appreciate you taking a few minutes to tell us what you think.
Build 51 is out with a bunch of new stuff!
- Add the ability to search for users by name from the Discover tab
- Add the ability to report notes and profiles using NIP-32 labels and NIP-69 classification.
- Improved performance of the relay manager
- Improved reliability of loading reposts, user photos, and names.
- Fixed a crash which occurs on some versions of MacOS when attempting to mention other users during post creation.
- Fixed a bug where the note options menu wouldn't show up sometimes.
- Strip whitespace and newline characters when parsing search box input on discover screen as npub.
- Added code to show the Discover tab when we haven't downloaded the user's follow list yet (like on first login or app reinstall).
- Fixed a bug where tapping on a note would open the associated image instead of the thread view.
- Fixed a bug where profile pages would not load in some cases.
- Updated design of the relay selector
Build 45 is out with a few fixes, including better detection of links to notes and profiles! Here is the rest of the list:
- Improved performance of posting notes.
- Fixed a bug where the Discover feed would show your own posts.
- Fixed several causes of profile pictures and reposts showing infinite spinners.
Build 43 is out, with support for mentioning other users! Just type an '@' to autocomplete another user's name. Other changes:
- Added German translations (thanks Peter!).
- Fixed a bug where expired messages could be redownloaded from relays that don't delete them.
- Fixed a bug where you couldn't view the parent note of a reply when it was displayed at the top of the Thread view.
- Updated support email to support@nos.social
We have been thinking a lot about decentralized moderation recently. That term evokes a lot of emotion, so we took some time to write up our vision and the principles behind it. If your client displays long-form notes then you should see it below. Otherwise you can read it on the web here: https://tinyurl.com/bdz2v9w2
Build 38 of Nos is out! This one has reposts and I finally feel like the performance is in an acceptable place. Curious to hear feedback anyone has on that. (there is a database cleanup script that will run the first time you launch this build, so give it a minute before you judge). Next week we'll be working on autocompletion of mentions and DMs!
TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/YBBlRWc8
Here's the full list of changes:
* Added support for reposting notes and viewing reposts.
( Added Brazilian Portuguese translations (thanks nostr:npub1gk6ufj53zcc07dt8vrnwwslr3zqs2z398808z9gaw0pl2znmacrqp5y8se !).
* Performance improvements
* Fixed the French and Traditional Chinese translations.
* Fixed a bug where the user's follow list could be erased on the first launch after importing a new key.
* Fixed a bug where you could post the same reply multiple times.
* Fixed an issue where profile pictures could be rendered with the wrong aspect ratio.
* Fixed crash bug that only nostr:npub1wmr34t36fy03m8hvgl96zl3znndyzyaqhwmwdtshwmtkg03fetaqhjg240 was seeing.
We can’t spell BUGS without U, especially in Open Source culture 🐞🙇🏽… here’s the latest update on the #Nostropical Hackathon’s Community Voting winner.
Because we conducted the vote transparently on Nostr some users were able to check our work and found different results for the winner. After triple-checking with community members, we indeed found & regret an error in our initial tabulation and announced the winner of the Community Vote. See the image below for the updated correct tabulation.
As noted here…
https://iris.to/note1gct35x084r3l5elv0xyr88v6qc0mn2shcxyyaqdsdngl9h5fa2cqyrgtx6
… it was a neck-and-neck two-way race between:
NostrFollower by #[0]
and Incognito by #[1] #[2] & #[3]
We want to make this right for both teams. So we *added* a Community Vote prize award for 2nd place!
Here’s the correct tabulation for the Community Vote:
1st Place: Incognito - 25,000,000 sats
2nd Place: NostrFollower - 12,500,000 sats
We are sorry for the error, and we are very grateful to this open transparent software culture!
Congrats to both 1st and 2nd place award Community Vote winners!

Nostropical Hackathon Winners & Voting
The Nostropical hackathon took place on March 22 and March 23 on the two days following the Nostrica conference. It was organized as an autonomous satellite event by Hard Yaka, Universal Names, and Nos.Social. For two amazing days, participants gathered at the Awake Center in Uvita, Costa Rica and built a dozen projects aimed at forwarding our shared mission of building the nostr ecosystem.
We are grateful and inspired by all of the individuals and teams that participated and the projects that were born out of this shared time together.
We will be judging the projects as follows:
The 100,000,000 Satoshi prize is divided into three pools.
Judges Selection: 25,000,000 Satoshi
Community Voting: 25,000,000 Satoshi
Completed & Presented Project: 5,000,000 Satoshi
The community vote winner will be chosen by the same algorithm we use in nos.social to address spam and highlight relevant content. It’s a friends of friends algorithm. If you’re followed by somebody who is followed by somebody who participated in the hackathon then you can vote. No new followers after this post will be counted. To vote like the reply about the project following this post. It’s approval voting, vote for as many projects as you’d like, but we’ll only count one vote per project per npub. The voting ends at noon UTC Tuesday March 28th.
Watch the presentations here*: https://tube.tchncs.de/w/jSMd7W943vUqyx1iA8AZ45
* Not included in the video is the very secretive privacy focused Incognito project which is cool and fixed the problem of leaking metadata private messages on nostr.
The winning judges choice project is nostr torrent!
A Content Addressable Media NIP for sharing files on nostr.
The project proposed and implemented a system of content addressable networking using hashed content, plus the ability to support both CDN and web torrents for linking to and hosting rich media and files.

By #[0] of https://satellite.earth/ & #[1] of https://degenrocket.space/
The other projects open for voting are listed here as comments. You can vote for a project by liking it in the thread, and you can vote for as many as you want (but only once per project). If you vote for everyone, it's the same as voting for none. Only npubs within two hops of a hackathon participant will be eligible, in order to prevent gaming of the system. Notable product signals here that people really want better privacy in Nostr.
Kudos to all who contributed to our post-#Nostrica jungle hack and all the mint water-fueled liters of sweat offered to our collective Nostr commons.
Here's the official tabulation from our CTO #[7]

Tabulation recap:

Felix built a micro app for key migration. It notifies all of your followers to follow the new key via a dm and uses the nip-05 as a way of confirming that the person has changed their nsec/npub.

Votes will be read from the following relays:
