Last month I expanded my EV adventures, I have no home charger for my Tesla, but did a 1,000 mile road trip down to Cornwall without any issues. This weekend it's an east coast (England) trip where chargers are even more sparse.
โก๐ชซWish me luck ๐ค
I'm going off grid for a few days, I need to recharge my batteries. Nature, fishing, country walks, family and friends' time.
Catch you guys on the flippity flip!

Did anyone else go to Top of the Pops back in the day, I went quite a few times in the early 2000's. Amazing experience, standing a few feet away from Pink, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Eminem, Aaliyah.....
I found a spare unused ticket the other day, great memories! โบ๏ธ

I showed my youngest son how to diagnose, desolder and resolder a new part. We removed the faulty 'right click' micro switch in this Steelseries mouse and fitted a new one.
He is happy that he has a working mouse and also learned a few new skills. ๐

nostr:npub19s9snuryg6g6e88lquwprjd7msftuvfellems3yj2nv9gupl9r6smk7h85 I've been searching for about 2 years for one of these (UK), this one is the only one I've seen for sale, I need to fix the card reader USB cable, but not exactly a hard job.
I think the only thing I don't have to test this fully is a Smart Media card, which I could do with to test out my Flashpath, need to source one!

Happy Friday folks, I picked up a bunch of IDE CD/DVD drives this week, I shall be testing and refurbishing them. Right stack seem mechanically ok, just need further testing, the ones on the left are not even ejecting. The one on the bottom left was destroyed in transit.

nostr:npub1q38www0rhxdkugr9p6ama6vky0f5aclcfma4x2r9pjfj3yh5rs6sdm0un3 how handy is that! I've just ordered a bunch off AliExpress for dirt cheap, looking forward to having a mess about.
FFS!
I'm currently using a 4GB CF, so I'll try one of my smaller ones (512MB):

A giant full length Super I/O card and parallel port card. I will be taking this all apart soon, to get a good look at what I've got, see what work and cleaning will be needed. But I'm happy!

Oh my, there are plenty of goodies here! ๐๐๐

Got me another 5.25in Floppy Drive: a Newtronics / Mitsumi - D503V 360K. This one will be a repair job, but for ยฃ20 it's worth trying to save, wish me luck!
