Olen ollut viime päivinä allapäin. Kun tuntuu, että ei ole mitään hyvää sanottavaa mistään, on parempi olla hiljaa. Erityisesti somessa pitäisi olla jokin hyvän mielen lähettiläs. Siihen minusta ei nyt ole, olen pahoillani.

Markkinointi ei ole absoluuttista. On ihan turha pohtia miksi ei laita rahaa tai aikaa (joka on yleensä rahaa) kaikkiin mahdollisiin lokeroihin. Väkisin haulikolla ampuen se on hukkaan heitettyä rahaa. Markkinoinnin pitää tulla luonnostaan ja oikeissa kanavissa.

Fakta on, että jokainen jalkapallo-ottelussa ei rekisteröi laitamainostasi. Kaikki 1,5 miljardia TikTok-käyttäjää eivät näe videotasi. Markkinointi on rajallista, häilyvää, mielikuvien synnyttämistä ja pitkää peliä.

When coming back from the algorithmic social medias I always feel warm and fuzzy inside knowing the fact that on the Fediverse boosts really matter, because they make the posts pop up naturally as there is no "For you" feed. It's actually fun to boost posts here, because you know you know YOU are the algorithm. It's more fun and meaningful that way.

Social media is social. On X it is pretty hard to be social when you have to pay for it (literally and figuratively).

On Mastodon everything you do is social. Likes and boosts (shares) have no meaning other than for good spirits, so people have a conversation mindset.

On Bsky/Threads everything is mostly built on likes. People rarely re-share anything too ordinary, posts have to be EXCEPTIONAL to get shares or comments.

This is why I believe in open protocols over commercial war machines.
