we sold our chairs for a seat at the table

The day after I switch my space heaters from Slush pool to a FPPS pool, Slush announces they're switching to FPPS. Back we go...

If you use nostr:npub1vr2nva0s0hhfulthjy8053rg9kruk5erzwaxdw85gjwkfytj994sgudzvx with the phone enabled and just call all the same people. You’re not being private. Data mode only helps. Social graphs are strong.

App fingerprinting is a thing too. Your phone is probably the only one with your combination of apps and settings.

Wifi can leak your previously connected to SSIDs (like the name). WiFi is spoofable.

Advertising identifiers correlated with geolocation data from your device is basically a unique ID.

Who else goes to your house, your work, your gym, your church? It’s called pattern of life. If I can correlate device identifiers across time and space, I can identify your device from a crowd.

Browsing patterns apply too. Humans are creatures of habit and convenience.

This concept isn’t new but it’s hyper accurate in the digital age.

Be aware freaks. There is no silver bullet except to unplug completely.

You can build a nostr:npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl for about $50.

Roll a seed using D++’s method described by nostr:npub1dpna3xwwddnhhzg9ycpvlcz2ze0jdwm2rf3eqd2lf9leaewtq7tqhw0ef2 here: cdn.nostr.build/assets/edu/ROL…

Import your seed into Seed Signer.

Connect to Sparrow.

Write down ~20 receive addresses.

Turn off Seed Signer.

Hide seed.

Why would you go through the hassle of generating the private key offline just to immediately punch it into a sparrow hot wallet? Did you mean import your xpub?

"If I won the lotto, I'd be way more into this privacy stuff."

Exactly.

The John Clay Wolfe show on Saturday mornings is refreshingly based

Okay can you guys stop trading?

Remember, remember...

Dont get me wrong, tor is an incredibly important tool for freedom, but it does not serve as a realistic solution to remote access for self hosted networking equipment.

In my world, replacing existing equipment would fall into maintenance CapEx. "Maintenance" in this sense is "CapEx necessary in order to service / maintain existing cash flows"
