Lume v2 - Progress Update

I'm working on a brand new editor for Lume, providing a clean and focused experience. It also supports multiple kinds of events.

The development process is taking longer than I expected, so I will move some new features that were planned for v2 to v2.1 instead, including:

- NIP-44

- NIP-28

- Some new widgets

So, I will release Lume v2 on this Thursday, then I will collect feedback and bug reports to polish the current features. After that, I will release v2.1 with more new features shortly after.

oh, look like something wrong with db migration script, you can try delete db in folder: /Users//Library/Aplication Support/com.lume.nu

or you can wait few days, I'm preparing release v2 which have major overhaul, no more dumb error like this 😅, cause by my bad coding when I start building lume

Lume v2 - Progress Update

All changes that I’ve made in the last week:

- Support outbox model by nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft

- Completely redesign with support Dark and Light Mode

- New onboarding progress

- User don’t need provide private key to use Lume

These are features that I’m still working on:

- More widgets, including: bitcoin chart, notification, and status (similar to nostatus).

- Zen mode (only show X posts per day).

- Keyboard shortcuts.

- New editor, support write long-form content

- New in-depth settings screen

I'm testing storing the user's private key in the native secure store for Lume v2 instead of the custom secure store (based on iota stronghold) in v1.

Support:

- Linux (secret-service and kernel key-utils)

- macOS (keychain)

- Windows (credential manager)

But I'm not a security expert, so I'm not sure if it is a good choice or not. I hope I can gather feedback about this change.

I'm also working on NIP-46 (Nostr Connect) to give user more option
