Once you've created your npub, spend a week or two updating your profile page (profile pic, name, a bit of info about yourself) This helps you stand out from the bot pic npubs of other accounts

Tell us you're here using #introductions so we can find you and if you need help try #asknostr with your questions (someone will reply or boost your post so others can)

Follow the content that interests you on here and look at who they follow too. Build your feed and comment and/or follow people who reply to notes who have your sense of humour/memes etc

Adoption takes decades. Progress has been fast enough...better to let the world acclimatise to the new standard than for change to happen suddenly.

ya maybe. I still think there are people who understand it, but are too stubborn to change. I don't understand those people.

I think it’s simple: incentive

They have yet to experience a severe problem in their life that Bitcoin or Nostr etc solves for them

The day that happens, is the day they walk around the proverbial gate

why do we have to wait for catastrophe before we act? it's clear where the dollar is going.

If you have an investment that’s performance does not match the hurdle rate that is Bitcoin

The crazy thing: most people have never looked at their asset base with this lens

just watched an episode of the all in pod where they spent 15minutes reviewing past stock pics and discussing future ones...it was incredibly obvious that they were all afraid to even say the word "Bitcoin"

The answer is psychological, ultimately spiritual.

It's about being able to handle change. It's about letting go of the need for an authority. It's about having the capacity to going on that journey towards real freedom. To have your trust + worldview shattered, and to face all the responsibility that comes with that path of freedom, isn't easy.

It's about being able to say, I wasn't right, I didn't and I don't know. But I'm ready to go on the journey to find out for myself.

That takes courage, that needs awareness of one's own conditioned behavior patterns.

I hope we get more adoption.

Admitting to be wrong is also a huge barrier. With all the multiplicity of choices in life we tent to get a smaller and not a bigger world view.
